Print Mojo

My main zine that I share is a little informative zine all about riso! I run workshops and do printing to educate and share the joys of the medium, so I usually use the zine as an introduction. Any other zines I make are mostly about myself and things that I’m interested in personally.

ZuZu Cartoons

ZuZu_Cartoons (they/she) is a zinester who’s been publishing out of Arizona for the past decade or so. Their work covers serious topics, such as securing an ADHD diagnosis, and silly topics, such as summoning a demon into a long Furby. Her ongoing comic series, Playlists for Possessed Dolls and Depressed Smokers, relies on humor and narrative to tackle heavier themes such as isolation, nihilism, interpersonal relationships, neurodivergence and mental health.

Bruja Chulita

I make zines to express my voice in the form of art, to share a story, and educate others on various subjects. I became very obsessed with the deep oceans that most of my zines are centered on the creatures, environment, and issues. Others on chicana culture, song inspirations, and life experiences.

Hooligan Studios

Hooligan Studios used to create our own comics as Hooligan Comics years ago. We took a hiatus and come back with a refocused and reinvigorated approach. My child came out as trans a year ago and is a creator himself. Other friends of his who are also in that group are creators as well and had no outlet. That’s where our idea to publish their creations came from. Each one of our zines will focus on a different part of their lives and their lived experiences. We hope these will help other kids going through the same thing the courage to tell their stories as well.

hews

I'm going to be making paper bubble zines that show a poem when you blow them up and shine a light through. The poem will be written on the spot, based on a subject of the person's choosing. I hope it'll be a fun, in-the-moment experience. Plus, the zine can be used as decoration on lights after.

Montaysia Yuneek Illustration

My zines are all about imagining a world full of joy togetherness, and community. My illustration based zines discuss tough emotions and envision better days for both society and personally. Most of my zines are handcrafted and then printed!

Pink Poppy Art

I make a variety of zines from perzines to informational zines to original written comics/stories. I do it because it’s a fun little way to display my art and my feelings. I’ve also always had trouble with being ignoredbr or told I’m too loud, and so I’ve never been allowed to just be me unapologetically. Zines are becoming a way for me to take up space and force people into acknowledging my existence.

Saint Nobody

I classify my zines as surrealistic perzines, comic and art zines about mental health and existence itself. I make these zines as a way to express myself. Showing the basicality of living, whether it be from mental health, relationships or even just existing. My hope is that readers can resonate with my art as well as show them they are not alone in the world.

KairosVComix

Storytelling's my jam, and comic zines are an effective method of telling stories that might otherwise not be told. I enjoy making zines about the importance of community, friendship, and overall types of love that aren't romantic, and how they can impact us in great ways. I also love using the medium as a way to put forth these stories in a fun way, like with animal characters and funny comic strips!

ohmeqa

I used to be really inspired by the anime aesthetic, but I don't really draw in that style anymore. I still try to bring that weird/fun energy I get from though. I like to do as much as I can for myself. I often have to learn to use different programs and gain skills, and that all lead me into making graphic t-shirts, zines, stickers, shooting videos/photography, and music.

Daily Cloud Comics

My name is Javier Gonzalez I’m a comic illustrator, artist, and muralist currently living in Vegas. I’m also the creator of Daily Cloud Comics! I started drawing comics because I thought it was a good way to get better at drawing. I chose clouds because I thought anyone can draw clouds and I’m anyone! My early cloud doodles weren’t the best I admit, it’s been 3 years since and my cloud doodles have come a long way. I now have 2 Comicbook Zines Vol 1-2, 2 Coloring Comicbook Zines, 1 Mini-Zine and more to come. I found Zines to be very helpful in preparing and eventually releasing a Comicbook or Children’s book of my own. Until then I’m just having fun doodling and making Zines.

Las Vegas Zine Library

LVZL has been around since 2010 when local zinester Jeff Grindley and his wife Stephanie Seiler were welcomed to set up a few shelves inside the Beat coffee shop in Downtown Las Vegas to share a small collection of zines they loved. What started out as sharing a personal love of zines, grew into a massive collection thanks to donations from local zine lovers and one HUGE donation from Frank DeFrancesco who shared the former Balcony Lights Zine Library collection (the lights are always on in our hearts)! We are now nested within the walls of the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Arts on the campus of UNLV. This space is welcoming and full of creative energy that maintains regular operating hours and a great staff so you can access the collection easily!

Wormy Apple Press

I love texture in my work and it's pretty obvious when you see my zines. I experiment with different mediums to create based on what feels right. Glued-in objects, scanned-in components, linoleum stamps... it never ends. From compiled research to cute doodles to poetry -- I love creating!

My zines are risograph printed on colorful paper and are all self-published. Topics range from a spicy mini comic, a perzine about identity, a film photozine, an illustrated mushroom zine, a minizine featuring drawings made during a deep depression, and a perzine & mix CD combo about crushes, exes, and relationships. I make zines because they're an easy way to express myself, and to connect with people over shared experiences!

Tori Holder

I am a comix zinester based out of Los Angeles California focusing in comics poetry and autobiographical works. I started making zines and minicomics during my time at Whitman College, but really became invested in the work upon my return to Los Angeles in 2013. My goal is to make books/zines of art that encapsulates the beautiful mundanities of everyday life and the experiences we have in common, touching on everything from relationships, hometowns, self-expression, and public transit. Additionally I like to push the boundaries of the physical medium by not focusing solely on stapled works but also zines that can double as banners,  accordion folds, and cutout covers.

David Kantrowitz

I started making zines as a reaction against social media and a desire to connect in a more personal and tangible way. Sometimes I make comics because I'm grappling with big existential questions, other times I just want to write dumb jokes and draw silly things.  Along with smaller comic zines, I make a large newsprint one called "Sorry Thank You," which is sort of like if the Sunday comics took over the entire newspaper and got real weird.

Garbage

Garbage is at its core a passion project. A way for me to distribute my art through any medium, whether it be clothing, zines, prints, etc. Garbage is largely collage art, using images and ephemera that my generation may have never known to exist otherwise. Any art, photos or poetry not put towards clothing or other aspects of the brand during the “season” is then compiled into zines that I release bi-yearly

Loverville USA

Our new Loverville zines will feature the art and messages of love and inclusion. As well as the characters that reside in Loverville. Our previous zines include haikus about pizza, personal stories and comics, and art and music from Las Vegas. We make zines because we love self publishing our ideas and artwork and sharing it with the world. And we love zine history and culture and love to be a  part of it.

Mojada Inc

I began performing my poetry and oral stories at events centering indigenous artistry in many forms. I explored zine making as a way to continue connecting with folks through visual representation of what I was feeling in my words. My poetry deals with processes of decolonization and words of affirmation of our complicated identities due to colonization. Since writing my poetry zines, and oral story adaptation I have now added manifestation journals that folks can use to create their own visions for the future towards reclamation of indigenous ways of being.
